In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting New Providence Pioneers basketball team scored a good 72-57 triumph over the Kennedy Memorial Mustangs.

The Pioneers (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Johnson (Clark, NJ). The Crusaders go into the non-league contest with a 13-1 record. In their last contest, Johnson topped Cranford (Cranford, NJ), 62-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Spotswood Chargers (Spotswood, NJ) in a Greater Middlesex - Blue contest, on Monday, January 27. Kennedy Memorial will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Chargers go into the contest with a 10-8 record after their 81-71 non-league win over Calvary Christian (Old Bridge, NJ).
