With the victory, Memphis East advances its record to 10-7 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Overton (Memphis, TN) to encounter the Wolverines in a 4A District 16 test on Tuesday, January 28. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 8-9. Overton lost 65-55 in their recent league test against Whitehaven (Memphis, TN)

The Blue Tornado (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Webb (Knoxville, TN). The Spartans come into the Division II-AA East test with a 23-2 record. In their last test, Webb beat Knoxville Catholic (Knoxville, TN), 61-54, in a league test.
