In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Somerset Christian Cougars basketball team scored a close 69-65 triumph over the Monroe County Falcons.
The Cougars (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against McCreary Central (Stearns, KY). The Raiders go into the District 48 contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, McCreary Central nipped Southwestern (Somerset, KY), 74-65, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Falcons battle the Hart County Raiders (Munfordville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 27. Monroe County will attempt to better on its 9-11 season record. The Raiders go into the contest with a 7-8 record after their 59-47 league loss to Larue County (Hodgenville, KY).
