The Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils basketball squad (Verona, NY), was crushed 67-36 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host South Jefferson Spartans (Adams, NY)

With the victory, South Jefferson advances its record to 11-3 on the year. The Spartans travel to Watertown (Watertown, NY) to meet the Cyclones in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Cyclones enter the battle with a record of 9-4.

The Red Devils now own a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Camden for a Section 3 Tri-Valley - Pioneer battle on Friday, January 31.
