The Durant Lions basketball team scored 46 points and limited the host Atoka Wampus Cats to 43 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now have a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Will Rogers College for a 5A District 4 game on Friday, January 31. Durant will confront a Ropers team coming off a 37-34 league win over Tahlequah (Tahlequah, OK). The Ropers record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Atoka falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Wampus cats host Silo (Silo, OK) to confront the Rebels in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. The Rebels go into the game with a record of 10-8. Silo lost 54-48 in their recent non-league game against Wilson-Henryetta (Henryetta, OK)
