The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Parsons Vikings (Parsons, KS) and the host Baxter Springs Lions (Baxter Springs, KS), observed Parsons's basketball team overwhelm Baxter Springs by a margin of 60-33.

The Vikings (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS). The Dragons come into the Southeast Kansas challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Pittsburg trounced Carl Junction (Carl Junction, MO), 51-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Riverton Rams (Riverton, KS) in a Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee challenge, on Friday, January 31. Baxter Springs will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record.
