The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Hope Blue Wave (Providence, RI) and the host Block Island (New Shoreham, RI), observed Hope's basketball team edge Block Island by a margin of 37-32.

The Blue Wave (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Rogers (Newport, RI). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Rogers edged Toll Gate (Warwick, RI), 52-10, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the battle the Lincoln School Lynx (Providence, RI) in a Division III challenge, on Monday, January 27. Block Island will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Lynx come into the challenge with a 10-0 record after their 57-39 league win over Pilgrim (Warwick, RI).
