Illinois High School Basketball - Illini West holds off Brown County

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Illini West Chargers basketball team scored a close 39-34 triumph over the Brown County Hornets.

The Chargers (13-12) will now prepare for their contest against Lewistown (Lewistown, IL). The Indians go into the non-league contest with a 9-15 record. In their last contest, Lewistown was tipped by Brimfield (Brimfield, IL), 37-31, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Hornets confront the Pleasant Hill/Western Wolves (Pleasant Hill, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley contest, on Monday, January 27. Brown County will attempt to better on its 16-7 season record.
