Virginia High School Basketball - L.C. Bird can't hold off Glen Allen

Glen Allen Jaguars (Glen Allen, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting L.C. Bird Skyhawks (Chesterfield, VA), 43-39 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Glen Allen upgrades its record to 12-1 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Thomas Jefferson (Richmond, VA) to face the Vikings in a Colonial match on Tuesday, January 28. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 1-9. Thomas Jefferson lost 55-21 in their recent non-league match against Petersburg (Petersburg, VA)

The Skyhawks now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Huguenot for a Dominion match on Monday, January 27. L.C. Bird will face a Falcons squad coming off a 49-4 league win over Richmond City School of the Arts (Richmond, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 2-7.
