With the victory, Valley upgrades its record to 12-9 on the year. The Pirates travel to St. Johns (St. Johns, AZ) to face the Redskins in a 2A North match on Monday, January 27. The Redskins enter the match with a record of 22-4. St. Johns won 64-8 in their recent league match against Greyhills Academy (Tuba City, AZ)

The Bruins now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northland Prep Academy for a 2A North match on Tuesday, January 28. Hopi will face a Spartans squad coming off a 42-21 league loss to Round Valley (Eagar, AZ). The Spartans record now stands at 1-14.
