Kentucky High School Basketball - Russell sneaks past Knott County Central

The Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) basketball edged the host Knott County Central Patriots (Hindman, KY), 50-45 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Red Devils now possess a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Lewis County for a District 63 bout on Tuesday, January 28. Russell will play a Lions team coming off a 54-35 non-league win over Bourbon County (Paris, KY). The Lions record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, Knott County Central falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Perry County Central (Hazard, KY) to play the Commodores in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 30. The Commodores go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Perry County Central won 67-35 in their recent league bout against Buckhorn (Buckhorn, KY)
