Indiana High School Basketball - Monroe Central bested by Union County

Union County Patriots (Liberty, IN) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), 52-37 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Union County advances its record to 12-6 on the year. The Patriots travel to Connersville (Connersville, IN) to meet the Spartans in a non-league match on Monday, January 27. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 14-7. Connersville won 44-31 in their recent league match against Rushville (Rushville, IN)

The Golden Bears now own a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Delta for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Monroe Central will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 55-54 league loss to Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 14-5.
