The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) and the visiting West Lowndes Panthers (Columbus, MS), observed West Point's basketball team overwhelm West Lowndes by a score of 49-26.

The Green Wave (7-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-16 record. In their last challenge, Aberdeen was routed by Nettleton (Nettleton, MS), 67-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Okolona Chieftains (Okolona, MS) in a 1A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. West Lowndes will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a 20-3 record after their 55-17 non-league win over Calhoun City (Calhoun City, MS).
