Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA) and the host Torrey Pines Falcons (San Diego, CA), saw San Marcos's soccer squad hold off Torrey Pines by a count of 2-1.

The Knights (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA). The Sundevils enter the Palomar battle with a 10-6 record. In their last battle, Mt. Carmel was edged by Poway (Poway, CA), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the Falcons confront the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns (Vista, CA) in a Coastal (NCC) battle, on Wednesday, January 29. Torrey Pines will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Longhorns enter the battle with a 8-1 record after their 1-0 league win over La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA).
