The University Liggett Knights ice hockey squad (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI), 6-3 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI)
With the win, Calumet moves its record to 8-10 on the year. The Copper Kings travel to Negaunee (Negaunee, MI) to confront the Miners in a Lake Superior battle on Monday, January 27. The Miners enter the battle with a record of 4-11.
The Knights now possess a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Houghton for a non-league battle on Sunday, January 26. University Liggett will confront a Gremlins squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Jeffers (Painesdale, MI). The Gremlins record now stands at 11-6.
