Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL) and the visiting Anclote Sharks (Holiday, FL), saw Gulf's basketball squad knock off Anclote by a tally of 59-46.

With the victory, Gulf improves its record to 7-14 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Wesley Chapel (Wesley Chapel, FL) to play the Wildcats in a 5A District 6 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Wesley Chapel won 82-54 in their recent non-league challenge against IMG Academy Black (Bradenton, FL)

Next up, the Sharks play the Countryside Cougars (Clearwater, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Anclote will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record.
