In Thursday's non-league match, the host Assumption Knights basketball team scored a good 56-43 triumph over the Marquette Mohawks.
In their next game, the Knights meet the Clinton River Kings (Clinton, IA) in a Mississippi match, on Friday, January 27. Assumption will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record.
With the defeat, Marquette moves to 15-2 on the year. The Mohawks host Bellevue (Bellevue, IA) to meet the Comets in a non-league match on Saturday, January 28. The Comets enter the match with a record of 13-3. Bellevue won 73-44 in their recent league match against Northeast (Goose Lake, IA)
