The New London Whalers basketball team scored 75 points and held the host Bassick Lions to 59 in the Whalers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Whalers now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hall for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28. New London will meet a Titans team coming off a 39-36 league win over Farmington (Farmington, CT). The Titans record now stands at 8-3.

The Lions (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Fitch (Groton, CT). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Fitch was outscored by Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT), 77-54, in a league contest.
