Kodiak Bears (Kodiak, AK) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Eagle River Wolves (Eagle River, AK), 48-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kodiak upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Bears travel to Colony (Palmer, AK) to clash with the Knights in a 4A Northern Lights bout on Friday, January 27. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Colony won 69-66 in their recent league bout against Anchorage Christian (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Wolves clash with the Service Cougars (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet bout, on Friday, January 27. Eagle River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 70-62 league win over West Anchorage (Anchorage, AK).
