Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Willamina Bulldogs (Willamina, OR), 44-20 in a league bout.

With the victory, Gervais upgrades its record to 3-13 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Western Christian (Salem, OR) to play the Pioneers in a 2A Tri-River bout on Friday, January 27. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 15-5. Western Christian lost 60-56 in their recent league bout against Santiam (Mill City, OR)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Culver Bulldogs (Culver, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Friday, January 27. Willamina will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 63-47 league loss to Delphian (Sheridan, OR).
