In Thursday's non-league outing, the Lake Shore Eagles (Angola, NY) basketball squad edged the visiting Iroquois Chiefs (Elma, NY), by a margin of 55-53.

The Eagles (5-9) will now prepare for their outing against Pioneer (Yorkshire, NY). The Panthers go into the Section 6 Erie County III outing with a 9-6 record. In their last outing, Pioneer held off Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY), 55-41, in a league outing.

The Chiefs now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Starpoint for a Section 6 Erie County II outing on Wednesday, February 1.
