The Squalicum Storm basketball team (Bellingham, WA), was nudged 58-54 in Thursday's league battle with the host Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA)
The Cougars now possess a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lynden for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest battle on Saturday, January 28. Lakewood will battle a Lions team coming off a 72-50 league loss to Sehome (Bellingham, WA). The Lions record now stands at 13-2.
The Storm (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA). The Lyncs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest battle with a 17-2 record. In their last battle, Lynden Christian edged Ferndale (Ferndale, WA), 66-42, in a league battle.
