MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen (Orange City, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Unity Christian Knights (Orange City, IA), 70-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, MOC-Floyd Valley upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Dutchmen host Sioux Center (Sioux Center, IA) to play the Warriors in a Siouxland bout on Friday, January 27. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Sioux Center won 81-47 in their recent league bout against Sheldon (Sheldon, IA)

Next up, the Knights play the Trinity Christian Tigers (Hull, IA) in a War Eagle bout, on Friday, January 27. Unity Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-10 record after their 54-42 non-league win over Woodbury Central (Moville, IA).
