Ohio High School Basketball - New Hope Christian Academy knocked off by Newark Catholic

The Newark Catholic Green Wave basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting New Hope Christian Academy Statesmen to 53 in the Green Wave non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Green Wave now sport a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakewood for a Licking County - Cardinal contest on Friday, January 27. Newark Catholic will meet a Lancers team coming off a 51-44 non-league loss to Watkins Memorial (Pataskala, OH). The Lancers record now stands at 1-16.
The Statesmen (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Patriot Prep Academy (Columbus, OH). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Patriot Prep Academy ran past Liberty Christian Academy (Pataskala, OH), 78-37, in a non-league contest.
