North Carolina High School Basketball - North Lenoir can't hold off North Pitt

The North Pitt Panthers basketball team scored 64 points and held the host North Lenoir Hawks to 62 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Panthers now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host SouthWest Edgecombe for a 2A Conference 4 contest on Friday, January 27. North Pitt will battle a Cougars team coming off a 88-54 league loss to Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 5-12.
The Hawks (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC). The Bulldogs enter the 2A Conference 6 contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Wallace-Rose Hill nudged Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 58-55, in a non-league contest.
