Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Oregon Hawks (Oregon, IL), 55-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sandwich upgrades its record to 14-11 on the season. The Indians host Morris (Morris, IL) to play the Redskins in a Interstate Eight bout on Saturday, January 28. The Redskins go into the bout with a record of 8-17. Morris lost 47-40 in their recent non-league bout against Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL)

Next up, the Hawks play the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses (Dixon, IL) in a Big Northern bout, on Saturday, January 28. Oregon will attempt to upgrade on its 8-15 season record. The Dukes & Duchesses go into the bout with a 16-8 record after their 41-35 league win over Winnebago (Winnebago, IL).
