Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Brookville Blue Devils (Brookville, OH), 31-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monroe upgrades its record to 4-10 on the season. The Hornets host Franklin (Franklin, OH) to clash with the Wildcats in a Southwestern Buckeye - East bout on Saturday, January 28. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Franklin won 52-7 in their recent non-league bout against Fairborn (Fairborn, OH)

Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Eaton Eagles (Eaton, OH) in a Southwestern Buckeye - West bout, on Saturday, January 28. Brookville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 64-27 non-league loss to Talawanda (Oxford, OH).
