The Canton Warriors basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Portland Highlanders to 23 in the Warriors non-league victory on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stafford for a North Central Connecticut contest on Friday, January 27.

The Highlanders (0-12) will now prepare for their contest against Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT). The Cougars come into the Shoreline contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Haddam-Killingworth was routed by Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT), 63-46, in a league contest.
