Chicago University Maroons (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Perspectives-IIT/Joslin Wolves (Chicago, IL), 46-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chicago University upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Maroons travel to Willows Academy (Des Plaines, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a Independent School bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 20-5. Willows Academy won 57-29 in their recent non-league bout against Illinois Math & Science Academy (Aurora, IL)

Next up, the Wolves clash with the ACERO Garcia Patriots (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Perspectives-IIT/Joslin will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 24-19 non-league loss to Hubbard (Chicago, IL).
