Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) and the host Johnson County Longhorns (Mountain City, TN), saw Cloudland's basketball squad wallop Johnson County by a tally of 70-30.

With the victory, Cloudland improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Highlanders host North Greene (Greeneville, TN) to confront the Huskies in a 1A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 10-11.

Next up, the Longhorns confront the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights (Afton, TN) in a 2A District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Johnson County will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a 13-11 record after their 47-46 league win over Happy Valley (Elizabethton, TN).
