Stoneman Douglas Eagles (Parkland, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Coconut Creek Cougars (Coconut Creek, FL), 37-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Stoneman Douglas upgrades its record to 3-14 on the season. The Eagles travel to Park Vista (Lake Worth, FL) to play the Cobras in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Cobras go into the bout with a record of 13-5. Park Vista won 62-14 in their recent non-league bout against Leonard (Greenacres, FL)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Northeast Hurricanes (Oakland Park, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Coconut Creek will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 66-11 non-league win over Hallandale (Hallandale, FL).
