Milbank Bulldogs (Milbank, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Deuel Cardinals (Clear Lake, SD), 65-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Milbank upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Dakota Valley (North Sioux City, SD) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-9. Dakota Valley lost 60-48 in their recent league bout against Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD)
Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Elkton/Lake Benton Elks (Elkton, SD) in a A Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Deuel will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Elks go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 43-30 league win over Great Plains Lutheran (Watertown, SD).
