Ohio High School Basketball - Elgin trounces Ridgemont

The Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) basketball crushed the visiting Ridgemont Golden Gophers (Mount Victory, OH), 49-23 in Thursday's league test.

The Comets (8-10) will now prepare for their test against Liberty Union (Baltimore, OH). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Liberty Union walloped Hamilton Township (Columbus, OH), 65-37, in a league test.

The Golden Gophers now own a 0-16 record. They play next when they travel to Kenton for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Ridgemont will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 62-57 non-league loss to Carey (Carey, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-12.
