Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Illini Central/Greenview (Mason City, IL), 71-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Maroa-Forsyth upgrades its record to 16-11 on the season. The Trojans travel to Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-14. Paxton-Buckley-Loda lost 55-21 in their recent league bout against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL)

Next up, the play the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Illini Central/Greenview will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 45-38 non-league win over Lexington (Lexington, IL).
