Connecticut High School Basketball - Newington nudges Ledyard

January 26, 2023: Ledyard, CT 06339

Newington Nor'easters (Newington, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Ledyard Colonels (Ledyard, CT), 42-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newington upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Nor'easters host Simsbury (Simsbury, CT) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Monday, January 30. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 12-2.

Next up, the Colonels clash with the Bacon Academy Bobcats (Colchester, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut - 2 bout, on Saturday, January 28. Ledyard will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 14-0 record after their 51-45 non-league win over Rocky Hill (Rocky Hill, CT).
