The Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) basketball crushed the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), 53-13 in Thursday's league test.
The Bulldogs (19-6) will now prepare for their test against Madison (Madison, IL). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 0-13 record. In their last test, Madison was trounced by Roxana (Roxana, IL), 41-6, in a non-league test.
The Piasa Birds now own a 4-17 record. They play next when they host Calhoun/Brussels for a non-league test on Monday, January 30. Southwestern will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 32-28 league loss to Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 6-2.
