The St. Edmond Gaels basketball team (Fort Dodge, IA), was overwhelmed 53-25 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA)
The Wolverines now possess a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Emmetsburg for a non-league battle on Friday, January 27. West Bend-Mallard will confront a E'Hawks team coming off a 67-26 non-league loss to Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA). The E'Hawks record now stands at 7-8.
The Gaels (0-13) will now prepare for their battle against Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA). The Lions come into the North Central battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Clear Lake trounced Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA), 69-38, in a non-league battle.
