The Fishburne Military Caissons basketball team (Waynesboro, VA), was overwhelmed 56-23 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA)

The Gryphons now possess a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Virginia Episcopal School for a battle on Saturday, January 28. New Covenant will confront a Bishops team coming off a 48-38 league win over North Cross (Roanoke, VA). The Bishops record now stands at 3-1.

The Caissons (0-8) will now prepare for their battle against Carlisle (Axton, VA). The Chiefs come into the battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Carlisle trounced Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA), 51-38, in a league battle.
