In Friday's non-league outing, the Northwest Webster Cougars (Manson, IA) basketball squad beat the host Alta-Aurelia Warriors (Alta, IA), by a margin of 52-32.

The Cougars (11-5) will now prepare for their outing against Greene County (Jefferson, IA). The Rams go into the non-league outing with a 1-13 record. In their last outing, Greene County was topped by Nevada (Nevada, IA), 85-52, in a league outing.

The Warriors now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Emmetsburg for a Twin Lakes outing on Tuesday, January 30. Alta-Aurelia will clash with a E'Hawks squad coming off a 60-25 non-league win over West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, IA). The E'Hawks record now stands at 14-3.
