In Friday's non-league outing, the Hackleburg Panthers (Hackleburg, AL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Brilliant Tigers (Brilliant, AL), by a count of 51-29.

The Panthers (5-8) will now prepare for their outing against Marion County (Guin, AL). The Red Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 20-6 record. In their last challenge, Marion County bounced Red Bay (Red Bay, AL), 57-47, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Tigers play the Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Brilliant will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-17 record after their 89-42 league loss to Sulligent (Sulligent, AL).
