The Douglass Hurricanes basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Central Trail Blazers to 41 in the Hurricanes league triumph on Friday.
The Hurricanes now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Communication Media Arts for a Detroit Public I contest on Tuesday, January 30. Douglass will meet a Pharaohs team coming off a 72-56 league loss to Osborn (Detroit, MI). The Pharaohs record now stands at 2-9.
The Trail Blazers (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against Detroit Collegiate Prep (Detroit, MI). The enter the Detroit Public II contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Detroit Collegiate Prep was nudged by East English Village Prep (Detroit, MI), 72-52, in a league contest.
