The Chalmette Owls basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting West Jefferson Buccaneers to 63 in the Owls league triumph on Friday.
The Owls now sport a 7-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Jefferson for a 5A District 8 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Chalmette will battle a Warriors team coming off a 67-48 league loss to John Ehret (Marrero, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 8-18.
The Buccaneers (8-19) will now prepare for their contest against Bonnabel (Kenner, LA). The Bruins enter the 5A District 8 contest with a 15-10 record.
