In Friday's league match, the visiting Chesterton Trojans basketball team scored a tight 55-51 triumph over the Lake Central Indians.
In their next game, the Trojans meet the Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 27. Chesterton will attempt to better on its 10-6 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 6-7 record after their 56-54 non-league loss to Morgan Township (Valparaiso, IN).
With the defeat, Lake Central moves to 14-2 on the year. The Indians travel to Merrillville (Merrillville, IN) to meet the Pirates in a Duneland match on Thursday, February 1. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 10-6. Merrillville won 66-50 in their recent non-league match against Lowell (Lowell, IN)
