Cooper Jaguars (Union, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lexington Christian Eagles (Lexington, KY), 60-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cooper upgrades its record to 14-8 on the season. The Jaguars host Campbell County (Alexandria, KY) to clash with the Camels in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Camels go into the bout with a record of 14-5. Campbell County lost 73-50 in their recent non-league bout against Covington Catholic (Park Hills, KY)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY) in a District 43 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Lexington Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 67-64 league loss to Lafayette (Lexington, KY).
