The Highlands Bluebirds basketball team (Fort Thomas, KY), was overwhelmed 70-39 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Covington Catholic Colonels (Park Hills, KY)

The Colonels now possess a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blazer for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27. Covington Catholic will confront a Tomcats team coming off a 69-52 non-league win over Morgan County (West Liberty, KY). The Tomcats record now stands at 13-5.

The Bluebirds (11-10) will now prepare for their battle against Dayton (Dayton, KY). The Greendevils come into the District 36 battle with a 4-16 record. In their last battle, Dayton was overwhelmed by North Bullitt (Shepherdsville, KY), 79-48, in a non-league battle.
