In Friday's non-league outing, the DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL), by a count of 63-24.

The Barbs (16-6) will now prepare for their outing against Naperville North (Naperville, IL). The Huskies go into the DuPage Valley outing with a 11-12 record. In their last outing, Naperville North was crushed by Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL), 52-28, in a non-league outing.

The Spartans now hold a 10-13 record. They play next when they host Morris for a Interstate Eight outing on Saturday, January 27. Sycamore will clash with a Redskins squad coming off a 63-51 non-league loss to Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 11-10.
