Ohio High School Basketball - Elgin can't hold off Waynesfield-Goshen

The Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Elgin Comets to 57 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Minster for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Waynesfield-Goshen will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 74-45 league win over New Knoxville (New Knoxville, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-6.

The Comets (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Wynford (Bucyrus, OH). The Royals come into the non-league contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Wynford was nudged by Upper Sandusky (Upper Sandusky, OH), 57-52, in a league contest.
