Maryland High School Basketball - Goretti tops New Hope Academy

Goretti Gael (Hagerstown, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting New Hope Academy (Landover Hills, MD), 66-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Goretti upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Gael travel to Calvert Hall (Baltimore, MD) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 28. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 10-14. Calvert Hall won 57-53 in their recent league bout against Glenelg Country (Ellicott City, MD)

Next up, the play the Fairfax Christian Cardinals (Dulles, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. New Hope Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 15-16 season record.
