Mississippi High School Basketball - Hatley topped by Walnut

The Walnut Wildcats basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Hatley Tigers to 56 in the Wildcats league victory on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Myrtle for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Walnut will battle a Hawks team coming off a 52-37 league loss to Falkner (Falkner, MS). The Hawks record now stands at 2-21.
The Tigers (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Mantachie (Mantachie, MS). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, Mantachie was defeated by Alcorn Central (Glen, MS), 74-35, in a league contest.
