The Varsity Opponent (, ) basketball nipped the visiting IMG Academy Gold Ascenders (Bradenton, FL), 63-62 in Friday's non-league test.
The (328-1190) will now prepare for their test against Summit Christian Academy (Lexington, KY). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Summit Christian Academy got by Varsity Opponent (, ), 61-20, in a non-league test.
The Ascenders now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they host North Broward Prep for a non-league test on Saturday, January 27. IMG Academy Gold will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 65-60 non-league loss to NSU University (Fort Lauderdale, FL). The Eagles record now stands at 17-5.
